Corey Santelmann

Corey Santelmann (b. 1991) is a New Hampshire-based composer and arranger of choral, wind band, and chamber music that “shimmers with sharp sonorities,” thoughtfully connecting old and new with expansive polyphony, exquisite harmony, and engaging minimalism. His music has been performed by university, high school, and professional/community ensembles in many states and major cities across North America, including N.Y. City, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, San Antonio, Salt Lake City, Lexington, and the metro areas of Los Angeles, Houston, Dallas, Phoenix, Seattle, Portland, Raleigh, and Anchorage. He was a winner of the Foris Choir’s 2020 Call for Scores in Portland, Oregon; his music has sold copies across the United States.

Santelmann’s other interests include early music, polyharmony, orchestration, and barbershop harmony. His works are published by Pavane Publishing and Tonally New Music. Above all, Santelmann strives to explore music’s future without abandoning its past, remembering that art’s goals should never circumvent the creation of a meaningful, human experience for performer and audience alike.
