Randy Stenson’s male chorus series has earned a great deal of respect over the years. The quality is always superb and the styles vary significantly. Editor and professor Allen Crowell has brought us another Renaissance work, this one by Jacob Handl. For five-part male choir, it has its demanding qualities, but the reward is there. This is great music. High school and college male choruses will love it.
