John Cornish

Dr. John Cornish is an active teacher, choral/orchestral conductor, lyric tenor, collaborative pianist, composer, and church musician. He currently teaches as an Assistant Professor of Music at College of the Ozarks near Branson, MO, where he directs the College of the Ozarks Chorale and teaches classes in voice, conducting, and church music. Dr. Cornish previously taught at San Jacinto College in Houston, TX, Cameron University in Lawton, OK, and Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, TX. 

A life-long church musician, Dr. Cornish has served on the music staff of six different congregations in Texas, Oklahoma, and Missouri. Dr. Cornish holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in piano performance from Cameron University and Masters and Doctoral degrees in church music, conducting, and vocal performance from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. John is married to Rashel, and they are the proud parents of Claire and Cameron.
