Composer and music educator, Andrea Ramsey resides in Lawrence, Kansas where she is a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Kansas and conducts the KU Men's Glee Club.  A native Arkansan, she has eight years of previous teaching experience with 7th and 8th grade choral students in the Bentonville Public Schools in Bentonville, Arkansas where the choral program at Washington Junior High grew to include approximately 375 seventh and eighth grade students in six choirs.  As a co-founder of the Bentonville Children's Choir, she directed the Cantus choir.  She received her B.A. in Music Education (vocal K-12) from Arkansas Tech University.  An active member of ACDA, ASCAP and MENC, and frequently commissioned composer, Andrea believes strongly in the growth of young singers as musicians and people through performing meaningful, quality choral music.  For further information and inquiries, please visit: www.andrearamsey.com

Ramsey has done a masterful job of echoing the text in music, ranging from haunting passages of darkness to rhythmically vibrant awakenings of understanding and light.
