In a lilting 6/8 meter the familiar Latin words of praise break forth, “Hosanna in excelsis Deo” (praise to God in the highest). Of course, it is an excellent processional for Palm Sunday, but because the words in both Latin and English remain neutral, this anthem works at any service that praises God.
